One of New Zealand’s favourite chef’s is on a culinary journey across Australia, discovering the very best of Aussie’s stunning fresh produce and artisan food and cooking it up in the best way he knows how.
In this ten part series, Al travels to New South Wales, Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland and Northern Tropical Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania and showcases the people, the locations and the stunning food on offer.
With his trusty burner, Al cooks from the seaside to the hillside in fascinating Australian locations. In true Al Brown style he builds fires on rocky coastlines and shows you how to cook fresh lobster wrapped in bull kelp. He’ll take you to Noosa and throw together a mouth-watering crab, a moreton bay bug and pineapple and chilli salad with ease. He even slow cooks a goat dish on board a beautiful houseboat on the Murray River. Nothing is too confronting for Al.
